There are over 300 ACC members in Nevada, which includes physicians, CV Team members and practice administrators. The majority of members are located in Las Vegas and Reno.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Meet Our President<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n

Dr. Letitia Anderson<\/strong> has been a member of the ACC Council since she moved to northern Nevada in 2007. She came to the region that year upon graduating her fellowship in cardiovascular imaging at the University of Vermont School of Medicine. She served as the Chief of Cardiology at Renown Health System for over a decade. When Universal Health Services invested in the region to build the first full-service hospital in over 100 years, she was chosen to serve as the inaugural Chief of Staff.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Dr. Anderson has practiced continuously as a clinical cardiologist for over 17 years and her focus in her community is health equity and food as medicine. Dr Anderson spent 8 years on the Board of Trustees of the Food Bank of Northern Nevada, most recently as the Chair. She also serves on the Nevada Maternal Mortality Review Board.Dr Anderson loves the stark beauty and remote nature of her region and spends most of her free time outdoors with her family.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Lou Alexander has been a member of ACC Nevada Chapter since 2012 and became an Associate of American College of Cardiology in 2015.  Lou is the Lead Nurse Practitioner of UMCSN Heart Failure Clinic under the leadership of Dr. Chowdhury Ahsan.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

She is also the President of Filipino-American Association of Advanced Practice Registered Nurses of Nevada.<\/p>\n\n\n

Dr. KaChon Lei, originally from Macau, China, moved to Salt Lake City at 18 and became a first-generation college and medical student. He earned an Honors degree in Biomedical Engineering, completed medical school at the University of Utah, and served as Internal Medicine chief resident at UNLV, where he is now the chief cardiology fellow. Passionate about structural heart disease and complex interventions, he will pursue an advanced fellowship in Interventional\/Structural Cardiology at Scripps Clinic while also advocating for resident wellness, leadership development, and graduate medical education.<\/p>\n\n\n
